SOUTH YORKSHIRE

WHITE ECCLESALL WOODS, SHEFFIELD

MARCH 2018 WALK EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK CHALLENGE – DAY 6

We thought that spring was finally on its way but no, the Mini Beast from the East arrived. When I was here last time I  thought that the next time I would go to Ecclesall Woods would be when the bluebells are in bloom..

We were so busy today that I thought I would not make it for a walk.  But we did. We went only for a short walk in Ecclesall Woods. It was beautiful. Snow makes everything so pretty. We only did a green route around in the woods. You can pick up a map at the Woodland Stop Cafe

Ecclesall Woods

It is an area of woodland in south-west Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, between Abbeydale Road South and Ecclesall. It covers approximately 350 acres (1.4 km2) of mature semi-natural deciduous woodland which was previously used for timber and charcoal, and is currently managed by the city council for the benefit of wildlife and visitor access. There are two roads and over 15 km of public footpaths running through the woods.
