Here is the list of some of my gear which I have been using for a few years now. Some of it is pretty old but why replace it if it still works?

CAMERA GEAR
Canon R5 – My main camera
I switched to the Canon R5 mirrorless camera from the Canon 5D Mark IV in 2020 and I love it. I am still using my EF lenses and I am hoping to slowly switch to RF lenses when finances allow.
SONY RX100 IV – My other little camera.
I am using this compact Sony RX100 IV when the weather is bad or I am just lazy to carry the big one. 🙂 It does shoot in RAW too.
iPhone 12 Pro
I’ve had an iPhone 12 Pro for a while now. And I will keep it until it breaks. I absolutely love it. It shoots also RAW and it has a very useful telephoto lens. I think the newest iPhone is an iPhone 15 now.
EF Lenses
I am still keeping my EF lenses and bought a Canon converter for my mirrorless camera.

OUTDOOR CLOTHING
Camera backpack – I have had a few camera backpacks over the years but believe it or not, the Amazon Basic Camera backpack is my favourite! I’ve had it for years and use it on a daily basis.
Decathlon Forlaz Trekking Leggings – my absolute favourite. I basically live in them and have them in 3 colours.
Decathlon Forlaz Gloves – I love these gloves. They are warm and thin and I can still operate the camera and phone with them.
WEBSITE HOSTING
Not really a “gear” but website hosting is pretty much vital for my blog.
In 2020 I switched my hosting from a well-known web hosting provider to the wonderful people of Lyrical Host.
I can’t really fault them. It’s that simple.
The free migration was seamless. They have a SUPERB customer service. I sometimes wonder if they sleep because their response is so quick most of the time. They also help with WordPress issues at no cost. That is very useful when you are changing a theme or just something is not working.
Their Facebook page is a friendly group full of lovely people who are passionate about their blogs and websites. The Lyrical Host also offers freebies, monthly stock photos as well as domain hosting, and a vast resource library with useful tips to name a few.
What I really like is that every year on your Lyrical Host’s anniversary, they plant five trees to offset carbon emissions from your website. It also helps farmers in developing countries to grow their forest gardens and provide for their families.

Most importantly, I now pay much less for web and domain hosting than what I used to pay with my previous provider. Not to mention that my previous provider used to raise prices (and quite substantially) every year! Lyrical Host doesn’t do that which is very important to me.
