HISTORIC HOUSES & GARDENS

Historic Houses and Gardens

My family has been members of the National Trust and English Heritage for as long as I can remember. Now that we live in Scotland, we are members of the National Trust for Scotland and, lately, of the Historic Houses, which has more properties to visit around us.

We also love to visit Historic Environment Scotland properties at every opportunity.

Oliver, my husband is also a member of Friends of Friendless Churches. He loves old buildings and has a great interest in them. He has been dragging me to see these lovely places since day one we were together! :-)

I also love everything about a garden.  I am quite fascinated by flowers, plants and nature. But you probably all know that by now. I even have an Instagram account documenting my progress in creating a cottage garden from our “new build garden”. Check it out if you like @scottishcottagegarden.

We love supporting these organisations and always have a great time visiting these beautiful and interesting places full of history and great architecture.

Let’s explore these historic houses and gardens together! :-)
