APRIL 2018 WALK EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK CHALLENGE – DAY 7
April Walk Challenge
Today was the last day of my April Walk Challenge. I am so glad I completed it. YAY! Click here to see my walks day by day. I hope the weather will vastly improve for my next challenge in May!
It was an interesting week. All the walks were nice in their own right but my favourite walk by far was the Bole Hill quarry.

The Walk
Today was one of those very overcast, dark, cold and rainy days. It was back to my winter coat, gloves and a hat! What happened to the sun? Those two sunny warm days; was that it?
I really had to push myself to go for a walk this morning. Because of the not so great weather, I wanted to do something local and quite short as I knew I would get soaked pretty quickly. I decided I would go to Longshaw and do their short 2 miles circular walk.

I go to Longshaw quite a lot and I never get bored of it. It just looks different every time, in every weather, in every season. It’s just such an interesting and a peaceful place.
I actually enjoyed it today in the rain. I met only a handful of people, mainly dog walkers; it was quiet with occasional birds singing. Not to repeat the landscape photographs of Longshaw Estate, I concentrated on “rain” today.

Those bubbles and rain rings on the water in the pond! 🙂 Mandarin ducks were there too but as soon as they saw me, they quickly swam away.

I can’t wait when the rhododendrons will be in bloom. It will all look completely different!
