DERBYSHIRE PEAK DISTRICT

OVER HADDON, Derbyshire

FEBRUARY 2018 WALK EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK CHALLENGE – DAY 5

I’ve selected this walk from Bradwell’s pocket walking guides book called The Peak District, A Selection of 10 Walks. I also found a link to the walk which you can see here.

Distance: 4 miles | 6.4 kilometers, Circular
Not push chair friendly, riverside footpaths ( can be muddy) and field paths
Easy, some gradual ascents and one steep climb, several gates and two stiles

Another of my friends joined me. Yay, happy days! We arrived at Over Haddon pay and display car park, postcode DE45 1JE. There are toilets in the car park as well.

Surprisingly it was a very nice weather up there, sunny with a deep blue sky. It wasn’t looking like that at home when we left Sheffield.

Couldn’t get enough of that dark blue sky..

Snowdrops! Spring is coming! Maybe..

Here we had our packed lunch. What a view..

😀 😀

Two more days of my Walk every day for a week challenge this month. Can I do it? Weekends are a bit more challenging as it has to be with our 6 years old son. They have to be fairly easy so he can take his scooter along so we actually get somewhere!
