MAY 2018 WALK EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK CHALLENGE – DAY 3
I went for a Longshaw Estate guided walk today.
These free walks are brilliant and as you may know I try to go to the ones on Wednesdays. They take place every Wednesday and Sunday at 11am. The meet up is outside the cafe in Longshaw and they usually take about 2 hours. The walks are FREE! Appropriate footware and clothing is advisable. Have a look at the previous Longshaw Estate guided walks I’ve done here.

The Walk
From the cafe we went towards Toad’s Mouth through the Winyards Nick over to Over Owler Tor through Lawrence Field via Paddley Gorge and Longshaw duck pond back to the Longshaw Cafe. Have a look at the map below.
It was a bit breezy at the beginning but the weather much improved when we reach the Over Owler Tor. The turn out was pretty good, there was about 20 people. We did about 3 miles.

Having a break, Mother Cap in the background.

Stunning view over Hathersage.

Heading down to Surprise View.

Some painters having a well deserved break! 🙂 This was the second time I’ve seen people painting on my walks in Longshaw Estate. Brilliant.

Some friends at Padley Gorge. Not scared at all. 🙂 Aren’t they pretty?

Brilliant walk. Brilliant weather. Brilliant views. What more does one need?
