RAINY LONGSHAW GUIDED WALK

APRIL 2018 WALK EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK CHALLENGE – DAY 5

LONGSHAW GUIDED WALK

Every Wednesday I join in the National Trust’s Longshaw guided walk. These walks are brilliant. So far I’ve done about 6 of these walks with them and they have become regular outings for me. I now plan my life & work around it!

It’s great to get outside and also meet new people. I also like the fact that they usually take you to places by different routes which I would not probably know about otherwise. You can see my previous walks with them here.

The Walk

Today was a rainy one. I think this was the second rainy  walk since I started going on these walks. Luckily the rest of them have been dry.

It was actually dry and partially sunny when we started. About a midway through the walk it started to rain quite heavily. Then it started hailing, which was quite uncomfortable when it was hitting me straight in my face. Fifteen minutes later it stopped raining and became clear and sunny – typical April shower weather.

We went  to Over Owler via Burbage, passing Mother Cap and then back to Longshaw cafe via Lawrence Field.

We saw a very pretty Laughing Toad and a Frog enjoying the Peak Distric’s view. 🙂 ↓

And again my friends; A perfect Mandarin couple relaxing on a log at the Longshaw’s pond.
