How this Got Started
Hello and welcome to Snap and Saunter.
My name is Martina Hardiman and I live very close to the Peak District.
I am a photographer with a keen interest in wildlife and landscape photography and walking and travelling is my passion too.
My friends were asking about my walks and travels when I posted my photos on social media so I decided to write about it. And so Snap and Saunter walking blog was born.
I also volunteer as a walk leader support on guided walks at the National Trust Longshaw in the Peak District.
The blog keeps me motivated too to get outdoors more often and enjoy the beauty around us.
This walking blog is, let’s say, a diary of my walks and travelling with photos I take along the way.
There will be a repetition of some walks. I am always fascinated by how the countryside changes daily.
In 2018 I attempted my personal challenge I called a Walk Every Day for a Week Challenge. It was an amazing experience if not a little bit hard at times due to juggling the walks around my personal and working life.
I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do the walks and perhaps it will give you some inspiration for your own outings. 🙂
It would be amazing if you share this blog or posts with your family and friends.
Hope to see you there!
